Andy D’Aquila MPT, COMT, CMRP
Andy has been a licensed physical therapist practicing in a variety of settings in the St. Louis area for over 15 years after first earning his Masters of Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University in 2004. In pursuit of furthering his manual therapy expertise, he earned a Clinical Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) through the Ola Grimsby Institute in 2012. The COMT led Andy to a growing referral base in chronic pain patients, which fostered a passion for dissecting the “pain puzzle” patients often presented. However, seeing patients every 15-30 minutes in a typical outpatient clinic setting often resulted in limited treatment in a hectic environment, which didn’t allow Andy the time and focus to dig in to the root causes of his patients’ pains. There had to be a better way….
Andy focused on utilizing and improving these traditional treatment techniques in outpatient clinics, serving a diverse population suffering from mild overuse injuries to chronic complex pain, until he saw first-hand the profound and lasting impact Matrix Repatterning Therapy (MRT) can have on a patient’s quality of life. He has been a Certified MRT Practitioner and private-practice owner ever since.
When Andy is not treating patients in the clinic, or treating the painful outcome of his kids’ latest bike spill or trip and fall, he enjoys playing hockey, mountain biking, and running. These days, he spends most of his down time taking in family game nights and backyard campfires with his wife, Brittany, and two children, Sam and Lucia.
